The only imagery I can think of is when a space shuttle is spinning into the Earth's atmosphere, and it's just entering from space and it starts to rip and burn and shred and break up until it pops and everything is so serene in comparison to the previous situation it was experiencing- it's over and now it just has to sail on down to the surface. Everything feels a little like I'm still in space, about the enter the atmosphere, and soon I'll be waiting and wishing for the pop again.
